Apprenticeships
Excellent education can only take place with strong support inside and outside the classroom. Our goal is to attract, retain and develop skilled and dedicated support teams.

Lift Schools is an established Apprenticeship Training Provider within the Education sector, as well as a network of 58 primary, secondary and special schools located across the England. We have been offering Level 2 to Level 5 programmes since 2012. In May 2024 we were judged to be a GOOD provider with Outstanding features by Ofsted. Our apprenticeship programmes can be fully funded by the levy and are available to any school or early years setting in England.

We are a specialist provider of apprenticeships for the education sector. Our curriculum intent is to prepare school support staff with the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to thrive in often under-recognised roles. In so doing, and responding to market needs and demands, we ensure our Apprentices maximise the impact they can have on schools, pupils and their own life choices.

We also offer a free consultation to MATS and schools on how to develop an apprenticeship strategy and how to utilise the apprenticeship levy to its maximum value.

Applications now open. Please email apprenticeships@liftschools.org for more details.

Apprenticeship funding

If you pay the apprenticeship levy (Lift Schools is a levy payer), your contributions can go towards the cost of a course.

If you do not pay the apprenticeship levy (or have insufficient contributions), the government will pay at least 95% of the cost of a course. Levy transfers can be set up for employers who are not levy payers.

For a full list of eligibility criteria, see the government’s apprenticeship-funding rules for employers.

Policies relating to apprenticeships can be found on the statutory information page.
